Summary: It was supposed to be a normal trip for two lovers, how did it turn out this way?
Everything was happening so fast. In a split second everything was gone, all his happiness gone. How could this happen? This didn’t happen right? Everything in front of his was a lie. The truck driver wasn’t drunk, the truck wasn’t coming at them, and the loud impact never occurred, his pain never existed. This was all an illusion...yes a simple magic trick Hankyung had played on him. That was all this was.
He had never been so wrong. Everything happened the truck came and hit them. He felt his head hurt and he could feel something wet trickle down the side of his face. He gently reached up to his temples and touched it. It was blood. Red blood that was coming out of him, Kim Heechul. He felt his body shaking as he crawled out of the wrecked car whose car door was already hit so bad that the hinge broke off and the door was just barely hanging onto the door. Heechul felt his heart pounding fast. Where was Hankyung? He looked around frantically and felt his breathing irregular. Hankyung...where was his Hankyung?!
There he saw him, laying down by the ruined beyond repair car. His face was painted red by his blood which seemed to flow nonstop from his wounds. Glass pierced his skin and made cuts that looked like a pattern. Salty tears fell from Heechul’s eyes and mixed with the fresh scarlet blood that trickled down. He crawled over to his lover, he didn’t care if his hands were already blistered and cut by the shattered glass that spread around the car like a blanket. He didn’t care even if a car ran him over while he crawled over to his Hannie. The only thing he cared about was Hankyung.
“Hankyung!” Heechul shook him softly and he heard a mumbling.
The frantic male dialed 119 with his shaking hands and began talking on the phone.
“Hello?!” Heechul practically screamed into the phone, it was only natural, anyone would... “T-there’s a lot of blood and Hankyung’s hurt. I-i-I need an ambulance! Quickly!” He shouted and cried over Hankyung. A weak hand gently brushed off the tears that fell from Heenim’s eyes.
“Don’t cry, Heechulah.” He said softly and gave a weak smile. Heechul held Hankyung’s hand close to his cheek.
“I’m glad I knew you. Thank you for everything.” Hankyung showed his eight pearly white teeth and his eyes slowly closed. “I love you Rella.”
“Hankyungah, wake up, the ambulance is coming.” Heechul shook Hankyung a little. “Hannie. Hannie!!” He screamed and broke into sobs as his heart shattered into millions of pieces like the windshield. All this never happened, no this was all just a nightmare. Yeah, a nightmare. Heechul tried to wake himself up. Hankyung wasn’t dead. No he was playing one of his tricks like he used to. He felt a lump on his throat. Where was the fairy godmother who would make all this disappear?
“You liar.” Heechul managed to say to the peaceful male who now was silent. “You said you would keep me happy no matter what. You said I was supposed to have a happy ending! Aren’t I Cinderella?” Hot tears spilled quickly from his eyes and it burned but not as much as the pain in his heart. Sirens were getting louder and Heechul screamed in agony. The men held Heechul as they checked the vitals on Hankyung.
“Time of death: one in the afternoon.” A male said.
“Check again!” Heechul shouted and tried to grab the man’s collar, but was restrained by two other men. “Let me go! Hankyung!!! Wake up! Show them how good you tricked them...” Heechul sank to the ground and cried even harder. These were the most tears he has ever spilled for a person and it will be the last person he ever spilled tears for.
Who said Cinderella always had a happy ending?
Who said fairytales were wonderful?
Who said Prince Charming would always rescue the princess?
The people who said that were liars. Just plain liars.
